What does stress sound like?

I made this short beat, "Headache," from a personal place.

It's inspired by those moments when your mind won't slow down. When the pressure keeps building, your thoughts become louder than the room around you, and you're trying to keep everything together even though you're mentally exhausted.

Instead of describing that feeling with words, I wanted to translate it into sound.

Every element in the beat was intended to capture the tension, restlessness, and emotional weight that stress and anxiety can create.

Music doesn't always have to make us dance. Sometimes, it helps us recognise emotions we haven't been able to put into words.

I'd love to know: What emotions did 'Headache' make you feel? Did it remind you of a moment in your own life?

What platform did you use for the beat?

I just tuned into this livestream on YouTube that raises this important issue and what one of the anchors said struck me:

"Students are a reflection of their societies."

Across many Nigerian and perhaps other African universities, there's growing pressure to hustle. For many students, earning a degree no longer feels like the safest path to success, so the focus shifts to learning skills that generate income as quickly as possible.
But it raises an important question:
Can innovation thrive where curiosity is missing?
Is the challenge a lack of student motivation, an outdated education system, the pressures of hustle culture—or all three?

Maybe the conversation shouldn't just be about building more innovation hubs. Maybe it should be about building a culture of curiosity—one where students have the time, support, and confidence to explore, experiment, and innovate.

What do you think is holding innovation back in Nigerian and other African universities?

The world doesn't need another trend. It needs your story.

Well, mine isn't exactly a story it's more of a proverb that my dad taught me

An Urhobo saying teaches that in war, some carry the ammunition, some fight, and some care for the wounded. No one stands aside with folded arms

It basically means that everyone has a role or purpose to fulfill in life and instead of being idle, you take action in carrying it out

What's yours?

Mondays don't always begin the way we hope. Mine has definitely had a few bumps already, but I'm choosing to believe the rest of the week has something better in store.

"Success isn't about never falling, it's about getting up one more time than you fall."

Here's to a stronger finish than start. 💪✨

I've decided to stop waiting for the "perfect time" to share my work.

There will always be another tweak to make, another idea to explore, another reason to hold back.

So instead of waiting for perfection, I'm choosing momentum.

This is one of my beats—and the first of many pieces I'm excited to share.

Every journey starts somewhere. This is part of mine.

And I know I'm going to get better.
