Burkina Faso has approved new humanitarian rules aimed at protecting the dignity and privacy of people receiving aid.
Under the new regulation, NGOs and humanitarian organizations are prohibited from taking, displaying, or sharing photos and videos that portray aid recipients with donated items in a degrading or exploitative manner.
The government says the move is intended to stop the use of poverty and human suffering as promotional or fundraising tools while ensuring vulnerable people are treated with dignity and respect.
