Horse Race
$5,000.00
Horse Race bursts with chromatic brilliance and kinetic pageantry, capturing the spirited atmosphere of a Northern Nigerian Durbar gathering. Clad in richly tinted ceremonial tagelmusts and flowing robes of cobalt blue, magenta, saffron, and emerald, mounted horsemen assemble before an enthusiastic crowd. In the background, the distinctive dome and towering minaret of a central mosque glow under an expressive, sunlit pastel sky, anchoring the civic and spiritual significance of the event. The surface is built from thousands of thick, sculptural palette knife marks that shimmer across the canvas, conveying the energy, thunderous equestrian momentum, and cultural majesty of this historic tradition.
