Purchase
$11,500.00
Purchase captures an ephemeral street corner transaction, rendering the dialogue between seller and buyer with remarkable dramatic clarity. The composition’s rich tonal pencil hatching provides raw documentary immediacy, set against the striking splash of an African wax-print shirt and electric blue wrapper. This selective chromatic focus pulls everyday commercial survival into sharp relief, honoring ordinary citizens whose daily exchanges form the cultural and economic backbone of society.

Artist Statement
Rooted in my sculptural background, my practice harnesses the raw, tactile authenticity of charred wood charcoal to interrogate contemporary African identity, resilience, and communal life. Through deliberate contrasts of shadow and texture, I capture the emotional pulse of everyday realities, preserving cultural heritage while illuminating enduring human hope.
