Artist Statement
My work explores the layered nature of identity—how culture, memory, and personal experience intersect to shape who we are. Through fragmented forms and textured surfaces, I aim to capture both the unity and tension within the human experience. The faces in my compositions are not just individuals; they are reflections of shared histories, inner dialogues, and evolving identities. I use color and structure to bridge tradition and modernity, inviting viewers to find their own story within the work. Through a deliberate manipulation of texture, color, and form, I invite viewers to pause and look beneath the surface. Each piece is an excavation of personal and collective truths—a way to honor where we come from while questioning where we are going. Ultimately, my practice is a search for balance in a chaotic world, capturing moments of stillness amidst the noise.

My practice explores memory, resilience, and the human condition through the transformation of found and discarded materials. By assembling fragments of charcoal, sacks, sand, wax, and other raw elements into evocative human forms, I reflect on adversity, social inequality, and environmental realities. Through this process of reconstruction, I seek to reveal dignity, strength, and beauty in what is overlooked, while affirming our shared humanity and interconnectedness.

Artist Statement
My artistic practice explores the relationship between line, memory, spirituality, and cultural continuity. Through intricate, interlocking lines, I visualize the unseen connections that bind individuals to their ancestry, traditions, music, and communal experiences. My work reflects the belief that culture is not static, but a living continuum carried across generations. Each line becomes a trace of this ongoing spiritual and cultural flow—an accumulation of histories, experiences, and energies that connect the past, present, and future. Through this visual language, I seek to honor tradition while exploring its enduring relevance in contemporary life.
