The African society, especially in Nigeria; we have a timeline for every milestone and there is a predetermined expectation as we climb the maturity ladder. One of these expectations is Marriage, this also affects both genders but sometimes, it tilts more to the female gender. It is believed that the woman's fertility clock is winding down, hence they put pressure on them to quickly get into the family way. This pressure gets to many of the women and creates an endless desperation and search for a partner; it gets worse when the right one isn't coming through and they begin to question their chastity.
