This painting dulls the divide between wishing and taking action as preconditions for success. Wishes are waves of fleeting thoughts which I consider to be rays of light peering through the mind's eye. From them visions are conceived, incubated and potentially born into achievements.However, the distance between a wish and likely resultant achievements come with an array of resistances; the unbelief of the dreamer, the surge of inertia infused by the bliss of basking in the mire of comfort— breeding procrastination, the pressure that comes with atychiphobia (fear of failure), the ephemerality of time that passes by while you're stuck in the quicksand of indecision; and the voice of destiny beckoning on you to take that leap. This uncannily resonates with my personality as one who's in his head over everything; battling with the dreamer in me, whom I find myself doubting his guts and seemingly flamboyant aspirations.The star in me is begging for answers; will I see beyond the limitations that surrounds me and fight through to surmount them, or would I surrender to the lies of unbelief and cave in.Whose voice will I heed to?"

As an artist, I see myself as an emissary of the soul, the untapped beauties locked up within its walls, the simple yet complex nature of finding oneself and how each art piece inches me closer to that search. My goal for creating art has always been to unravel the disparities in my personality, and finding meaning in this jigsaw puzzle called life. I don just paint for fun or aesthetics, I paint as a messenger, as a lover, as a human, as a dreamer, as a child; learning a new language- the mother tongue of the human spirit; because what we bre all here for is to find our individual paths and make our lives count. Painting happens to be the vocabulary my soul uses to tell its story, perhaps the world will hear me.
