About Oluwafemi Ayanwale: Oluwafemi Joseph Ayanwale, a diversified artist in painting and sculpture was born on the 4th of February, 1999. Having started his preliminary and secondary education in Ogbomosho, Oyo state. He furthered his academic pursuit at Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo State from the year 2013 to 2016 for an NCE program where he studied English language and Christian Religious Studies. However, an insatiable desire for “Art” channeled his steps to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile –Ife where he studied and practiced Fine and Applied Arts with specialty in Painting from the year 2016 to 2021. To showcase his creative skill, he participated in several art exhibitions, “Ifectivity” exhibition which held in Obafemi Awolowo University in the year 2016 and ’17 respectively, and “Life in my city exhibition (Limcaf)”, year 2021 and “Variant” 2022, Open Studio (Welders Cathedral) 2022. His style of painting is attributed to Araism, an art style that concentrates on creative wonder as popularized by Mufu Onifade, a frontline painter in Araism. Also, Segun Fagorusi and Alade Ifeoluwa was a major influence in the painting expertise of Oluwafemi Joseph Ayanwale during an internship training at thier studios respectively. His love for sculpture was well gratified by the possibilities of medium exploration pitched through painting which was further enhanced during his internship training with Dotun Popoola, a notable metal sculptor. The artist Oluwafemi Joseph Ayanwale sees Art as a way of life; he notes, “We do Art, we eat with Art, our entire existence is centered on Art, it is a way of life. The artist’s perspective in exploring art is evidential in his works focusing on the theme of beauty, individual uniqueness, and hope.

Mission Statement: As an artist, my perspective is centred around exploring the themes of beauty, individual uniqueness, and hope. Through my works, I strive to capture the essence of these concepts and convey them to my audience in a way that is both thought-provoking and visually appealing. To me, beauty is not just about aesthetics; it is about the way we perceive the world around us and the emotions that it evokes within us. My artworks aim to capture the beauty that exists in even the most mundane things, and to inspire people to see the world through a more appreciative lens.
Similarly, individual uniqueness is a theme that I am deeply passionate about. I believe that each person is inherently unique and has something valuable to offer the world. My artworks explore this theme by celebrating the diversity of human experience and highlighting the qualities that make each of us special. Hope is a concept that is integral to my artistic practice. I believe that art has the power to inspire and uplift people, and my works aim to do just that. Whether it is through the use of vibrant colours or uplifting imagery, I hope that my artworks bring a sense of optimism and positivity to those who view them.
Overall, my artistic perspective is centred around exploring themes that are universal and timeless. Through my works, I hope to connect with people on a deeper level and inspire them to see the world in a more positive and appreciative light.
