Eyitayo Alagbe is a Nigerian multimedia visual artist based in Ibadan, Nigeria. Born and raised in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, he discovered his passion for art at an early age, developing his skills through a blend of natural talent, formal education, and practical experience. He holds an NCE in Fine and Applied Arts from Emmanuel Alayande College of Education, Oyo (2019), and a BA in Fine and Applied Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University (2023).

Working across acrylic, oil, ink, charcoal, and pastels, Eyitayo blends traditional and contemporary techniques to explore the complexities of human experience, engaging themes such as diverse lifestyles, emotions, struggles, and strengths, with particular focus on men’s mental health, the beauty and resilience of African women, and the perseverance of Africans.

Through each piece, Alagbe invites viewers to connect personally with the narratives he presents, offering space for reflection within the shared human story. His art combines technical skill with emotional depth, continually pushing the boundaries of his craft.

He has been exhibited in both national and international galleries and his work is
heard inLiana Art Foundation, US Embassy, Equatoria Guinea and others. In addition, his art has been featured in both National and International publication

Mission Statement: As introspective individual, my art serves as a powerful outlet for self-expression. I explore and express
various aspects of life, including different lifestyles, emotions, struggles, and strengths, with a focus on
the remarkable resilience of Africans. Through vibrant and emotive works, I delve into the complexities
of human experience, creating introspective pieces that capture the essence of life.
My artistic process is a fusion of intuition, experimentation, and storytelling. I blend traditional and
contemporary techniques to create visually striking and thought-provoking pieces that encourage
viewers to engage, reflect, and connect. Through my art, I aim to capture the innocence and simplicity
of African children, giving them a sense of belonging. I also explore the complexities of the African
experience, including themes such as men's mental health, the resilience of African women, and the
perseverance of Africans in the face of adversity. Ultimately, my art seeks to inspire empathy, spark
meaningful conversations, and celebrate the beauty, diversity, and strength of the human spirit.
“The colors I use on my subject’s faces show my dedication to creating art that brings joy to both the
eyes and the soul. My artwork explores the tough realities of life and the stress that we all face, but I
aim to turn that pain into something beautiful and uplifting. The drawings expression in my art is as a
result of my lifelong love for drawing. I started drawing at a young age and it's something that brings me
joy. For me, an artwork isn't complete without some element of drawing in it.
